About Antelope Canyon

Be prepared for a real wonder of nature at Antelope Canyon. This Slot Canyon will take your breath in all its colourful shades from pastel hues to deep red depending on time of day. Truly magical. The short drive to the canyon itself will put you in a world of dry desert land reminding of Africa.

You may visit Lower Antelope Canyon or Upper Antelope Canyon. They are located several miles away from each other's entrance with the Upper one being probably more crowded as the Lower one due its easier accessibility. The lower part has several stairways, thus is more difficult hike than Upper Antelope, also longer and narrower. Nevertheless, astonishing beams of direct sunlight radiating down from openings at the top of the canyon are much more common in Upper.

Please be aware that this is Navajo area and there is no possibility to get to the Antelope Canyon on a private basis. You need to be part of an official tour. Pre-booking is recommended in high season. It might be very crowded. Looking for some lonesomeness?
