Set in intimate surroundings and heavily influenced by its close proximity to the universities, The Fav bar and kitchen is the soul of the venue. Serving excellent home made food using fresh ingredients from local suppliers, wherever possible. On stock also an unrivalled selection of craft beers and ales. When British weather permits, the large outside terrace is a lovely place to dine.
Established in 1947, the venue originally started life as hotel. Don’t be fooled by the Victorian exterior, inside, the venue has a state of the art lighting and sound rig for occasional live music from a wide range of musical genres, with anything from House, Indie, and Alternative to Rock. Ever since staying at the forefront of cutting edge music and continually promoting current trends and local bands, with emphasis on quality, creativity, and innovation. Bookings included early performances from the Sisters of Mercy, Arctic Monkeys, The Klaxons, Lily Allen, and The Gossip.
The Faversham is also home to some of the city of Leeds' legendary summer parties.
