New Brighton Tower was a steel tower in Wallasey, Merseyside. Just opposite the city centre of Liverpool. It stood 173 metres high, and was the tallest building in Great Britain when it opened around 1900. The building at its base housed the Tower Ballroom. The Beatles played at here 27 times, more than at any other venue in the United Kingdom except the Cavern Club. The place was damaged by fire in 1969.
Take a stroll along the seaside promenade. A blue plaque reminds of this former venue.
