Originally born at 12 Arnold Grove, Wavertree, on 25 February 1943, George Harrison grew up in this home in Mackets Lane from 1962 to 1965. He was the youngest of four children with his father, Harold, being a former ship's steward, and his mother, Louise, who came from a large family of Irish origin.
George attended Dovedale Primary School, until progressing to Liverpool Institute later. In 1965, having become rich and famous, he bought his parents a house in Appleton, outside Warrington.
Please pay respect to the current inhabitants of the house.
