Take a short stroll along Cheyne Walk: this area is probably one of the most iconic residential streets in the world. A long parade separated from the River Thames and Chelsea embankment by only long narrow green spaces or gardens. The houses have fabulous views of the River Thames. The mixture of 17th, 18th, and 19th century properties vary in size from huge to humble.
Numerous famous names lived here during the past centuries, from writers to musicians and various other artists.
Both Mick Jagger and Keith Richards from The Rolling Stones purchased properties in Cheyne Walk in 1968. Keith lived at number 3 with his girlfriend Anita Pallenberg. He sold the property in 1978. Mick Jagger and Marianne Faithful lived at number 48, a kind of garden studio. Mick sold the property again in the late 70s. Also Ronnie Wood purchased a home here at number 103 back in the year 2008. He reportedly never lived here, but sold the house just a few years later.
