Pentonville Prison is a men's prison on the Northern part of London. It received its first prisoners in December 1842.
Since then, numerous famous stars have seen these four walls from within: George Michael has been here for eight weeks due to driving under the influence of cannabis and a following car crash back in 2010. Boy George spent four months of his life in here because of bonding a callboy in 2009. In 2008, it was Blake Fielder Civil, ex husband of Amy Winehouse who came here after he committed grievous bodily harm. Finally, also Pete Doherty, singer of the Babyshambles, sat here for four days in 2005. Time enough to write a song about the place: Pentonville is a title on the band's hit album Down In Albion.
