One of Manchester's hidden secrets for vinyl purists: Eastern Bloc Records is independent record store and café at daytime and intimate DJ venue in the evenings. Established in 1985 and ever since essential part in the city's music scene specializing in Techno, Drum & Bass, House, Reggae & Electronic music. The Northern Quarter shop has already been hosting in-store signings with The Stone Roses and Happy Mondays while welcoming famous customers like Laurent Garnier, Chemical Brothers, Carl Cox and many more. Take a seat and taste some hand-roasted coffee or homemade cakes while checking out new releases. Also CDs available. They often hold pre-parties for various events, too.
