Every summer in June and July there is an alternative market festival south of Olympic Park called Tollwood Festival. It’s usually located behind the lake and hill opposite Olympic Tower.
The festival’s philosophy is more of a non-profit one focussing on cultural activities and ecological projects. Also strongly supporting a multicultural society. Therefore, tolerance, internationality, and an open minded spirit are keystones of the festival. The selection of the numerous food and bar stalls is reflecting this attitude.
According to the motto Culture for all, Tollwood hosts events with free admission as well as ones to pay for. Check out the billing when around - there are always major renowned artists on the event calendar along local bands.
The Tollwood Winter Festival by the way takes place on Theresienwiese from November until New Year's Eve.
It’s probably one of the world's highest museum - at least it’s the highest Rock museum in the world. 190 meters above ground, located at the top of the Olympic Tower.
