Tittenhurst Park is a early Georgian country house in a huge estate just west of London. The current house dates back to the year 1737. This place was once the home of John Lennon and Yoko Ono from the late summer of 1969 until August 1971, and afterwards home to Ringo Starr and family until the late 1980s.
The last Beatles photo session took place in Tittenhurst Park on 22 August 1969, with theses photos used for the front and back covers of their Hey Jude album in 1970.
Also during that year, and in the wake of the Beatles' break-up, John Lennon and Yoko Ono built their own recording studio, called Ascot Sound Studios, on the estate grounds, where several of their next albums were recorded.
The matching cover photos of their twin Plastic Ono Band albums for example were taken at Tittenhurst.
