No matter which music genre you're into - Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival will definitely put you under its spell. Annually taking place in spring upon the grounds of the Empire Polo Club, Coachella is world-wide known and already legendary. The location is unique - surrounded by huge palms and dry desert.
It was founded in 1999, and features musical artists from many genres of music, including Rock, Indie, Hip Hop, and Electronic Dance, as well as art installations and sculptures. Across the huge grounds, several stages host live music.
When around, definitely take one or more rides with the ferris wheel as you won't get tired of the spectacular views upon the festival and the palm trees around. Especially around sunset this is just phenomenal with the desert mountains set in red colours.
You will feel like back in Woodstock with young hipsters celebrating along aged hippies with flowers in their hair. All accompanied with the best from current music spectrum.
Biking, golf, hiking, horseback riding, swimming, and tennis in the nearby desert and mountain areas are major forms of recreation in the city of Palm Springs. This area is also well-known for its mid-century modern architecture, design elements, and a vibrant arts and cultural scene. In terms of music, artists from the Rat Pack to modern-day Indie rockers have been finding creative inspiration in the magical settings. The city is also home to Desert Rock and Stoner Rock. Bands like The Eagles of Death Metal and Queens of the Stone Age rose from the desert area.
Anyone in music business who has toured during the past years has probably played this House of Blues stage, from Metal and Punk to Hip Hop – the event calendar is probably one of the most varied in the city. Featuring a beautiful music hall.
The Rock Yard at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino is one of the premiere settings for live Rock ‘n’ Roll music in the Coachella Valley, for many fans their favourite venue in the area. The country’s best tribute and cover bands including tributes to favourites like AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, Metallica, Mötley Crüe, Journey and many more grace this stage.
